KINDRED SPIRITS SUPERSTARS There are so many wonderful people we have come to know through our work with wildlife. If we could, we'd love to list every last one of them. It became obvious very quickly that Dr. Miller is an amazing person and a fantastic vet. He is a brilliant doc, but he also loves animals and isn't the least bit shy about talking baby talk or loving on every creature that comes his way. We were so impressed with Dr. Miller that in spite of the long drive, he became our vet for our special needs dogs. Ellen Jareckie - artist House Mouse Designs website: www.housemouseantics.com why we love her: Ellen Jareckie is not only an amazingly talented (and well-known!) artist, she is also a wildlife rehabilitator in Vermont. We are fortunate to have her as a friend. If you aren't familiar with her work, you need to be. The darling mice and other creatures she creates are so delightful, you may just find yourself laughing out loud at their antics. Cheryl Knox - artist website: http://www.absolutearts.com (then do a search for Cheryl Knox) why we love her: I actually "met" Cheryl when she started e-mailing me. I don't even remember exactly why, other than I believe she was offering her assistance with our work. We quickly became friends. Cheryl is a huge animal person, giving her heart and home to foster cats and kittens for the Humane Society (as well as those she's given a "fur-ever" home to). In her "spare" time, Cheryl creates the most amazing art. In addition to her beautiful pastels and unique jewelry, she designs and makes the most breathtaking stained glass art. My home is filled with her work. I tell her it's addictive!
